This is the story of a sail…
During the Tour du Monde à l'Envers in 2022, worn, delaminated, the J1, one of the front sails of the trimaran USE IT AGAIN, was unloaded during the stopover in South Africa at Pascal's, the Romain's teammate for the Reunion – Cape Town stage. Stored in a workshop for a year, this sail, which was already in its second life on USE IT AGAIN, was recovered by two South Africans who transformed it by hand into 72 unique collector's bags from this J1 which made the Tour of the World. This is a concrete example of a circular economy for this sail which is giving itself a third life! Thanks to this first experience, this couple from Cape Town was able to purchase sewing machines and start their small local business.
